Teaser Tuesday is Back!

After taking a months long break from any memes on the blog, I have decided to return to Teaser Tuesday. My Google Reader is full of other bloggers who also participate, and I've missed doing bookish posts that aren't reviews or giveaways. I always thought that Teaser Tuesday was a good way to share what I am currently reading.

Here's how it goes:

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I've got two romances this week. The first is a historical (Regency) and the second is a paranormal. Enjoy!

Ten Ways to Be Adored When Landing a Lord (The Ralstons, #2)
Ten Ways to be Adored When Landing a Lord
by Sarah MacLean

Published October 2010, HARPERCOLLINS (AVON)

From page 16:
"You will not leave me to deal with that sure-to-be disastrous event simply because you fear the attention of a handful of ladies."

"A handful!" Nick protested, "They are a swarm." He paused, considering his options. "I don't really care where I go... as long as there are no women there."

Rock looked alarmed. "None whatsoever?"

Nick laughed for the first time that evening. "Well, not none, obviously. But would it be too much to ask that there be no women that have read that ridiculous magazine?"

Gabriel raised a dark brow. "Very likely so."

Hungry for You (Argeneau, #14)Hungry For You
by Lynsay Sands

Published: November 2010, HARPERCOLLINS (AVON)

From page 42 (e-ARC edition):
Alex would think him a hero, and Cale could woo her...and explain later that he wasn't really a chef and didn't own a restaurant.

He was just relaxing, thinking his problems mostly resolved if he could just get through this night without poisoning anyone, when a gasp from Alex drew his attention.

  6. Here is my teaser from Out of Touch by Brandon Tietz (Page vii):

I used to be the kind of guy that would have no problem reading Playboy or Hustler on an airplane, but that me in "the before," and nearly everything has changed since that time in my life a little over a year ago.

This is not a coming of age story.

If that's what you're wanting then I suggest you put this down and read something else: something with a happy ending. Like Penthouse.

    Or: the funny pages.

This is me giving you your official warning.

Because where this goes, you might not be ready for.
